Don’t Let Her Feed Me To The Monster reflects on the mythic figure of the sphinx — long cast as a riddle-posing predator — to reclaim her instead as a guardian. In four wall-mounted reliefs, elements of the sphinx are reconfigured into hybrid forms that suggest protection, vulnerability, and embodied knowledge, in a gesture of reimagining. Sculpted in wax and white chocolate with a rose-marbled, flesh-like finish, and mounted on wrought iron gates, the figures inhabit a liminal space between ornament, body, and boundary. The piece explores how myth has historically shaped female subjectivity, offering instead a vision of power that is enigmatic and caring.

I’m a Sucker for Revenge II continues the exploration of the satyr as a grotesque figure of patriarchal pleasure and violence. Here, its tiny severed head, rendered in a fleshy, wax-like material, is perched on the pile of a three meter ornamental gate. Echoing architectural elements of exclusion and dominance, the gate becomes both pedestal and weapon: a vertical stage for punishment, display, and absurd theatricality. This exposed setting denies the illusion of preservation, and instead emphasizes the object’s vulnerability and the spectacle of its demise. Once a symbol of lust and predatory force, the satyr is suspended in a state of public mockery and decay.
