This ongoing series is a spin off of a previous project.  It brings together a series of rubber imprints taken from thresholds from different cities in Latinamerica such as Lima, Bogotá, Mexico City and Rio de Janeiro. These transportable skins are made by covering the space in a thick coating of rubber latex and gauze -mummifying- and then ripping off this skin when dry, taking with it the dirt accumulated over the years, the marks, cracks, scars and even old paint layers. This allows me to steal not only its architectural shape but also the memory that has been permeated on its surface. Space - physical, geographical - is transformed into a biographical space.

Esta serie en proceso continuo es un "spin off" de un proyecto anterior. Reúne improntas en látex tomadas de umbrales de diferentes ciudades de Latinoamérica como Lima, Bogotá, Ciudad de México y Río de Janeiro. Estas pieles transportables son creadas al cubrir el espacio en una capa gruesa de caucho de látex y tela de gasa -momificación- y luego arrancando esta piel cuando seca, llevándose consigo el polvo acumulado a lo largo de los años, las marcas, grietas, cicatrices e incluso capas de pintura viejas. Esto me permite robarme no solo la forma arquitectónica, pero también la memoria que ha sido permeada en su superficie. El espacio - físico, geográfico - se transforma en espacio biográfico.
